Portraits

Portraits have been a fascination for me since I was a child. Drawing faces of friends in pencil and then my children in oils brought me into a lifelong interest in portrait. My best teacher was Hans Holbein, the Dutch artist from the 1500's. His simple line drawings of Henry VIII's wives were perfection in contour.
